Formed in 2009 and based in the lower Hudson Valley of New York State, the band consists of John Deblasio - lead vocals, Michael Messina - lead guitar, Gene Madigan - bass guitar, Mike Jevnik - drums & percussion, and Joe Currie - keyboards, each bringing their unique flair and musical prowess to the collective. Lee’s Dragon Cartel, Bullet Boys, Faster Pussycat, Kip Winger, Mike Tramp, Lillian Axe, Joe Lynn Turner, Michael Angelo, Corey Glover of Living Colour, Jack Russell’s Great White, Michael Sweet of Styper, and more. Their dedication to their craft and relentless pursuit of musical excellence has earned them a loyal fan base and critical acclaim within the music community.

John Deblasio - Lead Vocals

John is the newest addition to Fragile Sky as the frontman vocalist. John has added his years of experience and talent to the band’s brotherhood. John’s career has spanned decades of live performances in the rock genres. His contributions and dedication to the band filled the bill as the overall compliment to the music and to the overall live performance the band has been striving for.

Gene Madigan - Bass Guitar

In over 40 years of playing Gene has spent the last decade playing cover material and as a studio musician that has allowed him to stay current with his playing and performing live. He was in several different original bands along the way and has always wanted to do it again. Michael Messina and Gene have performed together in the past and as fate would have it many years later, Gene was contacted by Michael about his project Fragile Sky. Gene reviewed the material and was hooked and then started the process of learning the music. He then went and played with Michael and Mike Jevnick. Gene was blown away to play with an awesome drummer and dynamic guitarist-composer and the rest is now going be new history. Gene’s true feelings is that the band now has a perfectly assembled lineup of professional dedicated like minded musicians and will be one of those bands that brings it all back to what real original rock is all about.

Mike Jevnik - Drums & Percussion

Mike Jevnik is a dynamic force in the world of rock and metal, renowned for his powerful drumming and versatile musicality. With a career spanning numerous collaborations, Mike has lent his talents to over 150 songs for a diverse array of bands and artists, showcasing his ability to adapt and elevate various musical styles while maintaining his signature sound.

Drawing inspiration from legendary drummers such as John Bonham, Ian Paice, and Neil Peart, 

Mike combines technical precision with raw energy, captivating audiences with his explosive performances. His deep-rooted passion for rhythm and groove is evident in every beat, solidifying his reputation as a go-to drummer in the rock and metal scene.

Currently, Mike is focused on his latest project, Fragile Sky, where he continues to push the envelope of his creativity and artistry. This endeavor reflects not only his extensive experience but also his commitment to evolving as a musician. Fragile Sky promises to deliver a fresh take on rock and metal, featuring intricate compositions and powerful lyrics, all anchored by Mike's exceptional drumming.

Joe Currie - Keyboards

Joe Currie is a veteran of the NEW York music scene. Joe adds his love of early rock and progressive musical influences such as Blue Oyster Cult and Genesis. Joe has been inspired by current bands that include Rammstein and Ghost. Joe met his ultimate challenge when he joined Fragile Sky integrating his classic style to the modern hard rock format created by the mind of Michael Messina. When not working behind the keyboards Joe is a stand up comedian and nationally syndicated radio show host. 

Michael Messina - Lead Guitar

Michael Messina is the founding member of Fragile Sky. Michael’s roles include being the executive producer, core composer, musical director, audio engineer, production director, live performer, and keeper of the vision.

Michael’s is a classically educated musician who’s career spans through decades of evolution and growth. His personal accomplishments outside of rock music include studio musician on several gold albums, television shows and commercials, motion picture soundtracks, and now his overall magnus opus, Fragile Sky.
